KleriTea® contains powerful herbs which are therapeutic in nature and not used solely as flavoring agents. For this reason, it is recommended that if you feel like one tea bag is not providing you the results you expect, rather than using two tea bags, consider steeping the tea longer with one bag. Each person’s body will respond differently to the tea and you will need to determine what amount of steeping will work best for you, but in general, one bag should be sufficient.

Because of the therapeutic aim of KleriTea®, which is to help promote a bowel movement, it is not advisable to add milk or sugar. This is because both can contribute to constipation and a sluggish bowel. Adding either or both of them to the tea may therefore work against the action of the tea, minimizing its effectiveness.

You can take the KleriTea® at any time of the day that works for you. However, it is designed to work overnight, while you are sleeping, such that you experience a bowel movement in the morning. Although KleriTea® is gentle and, when used correctly does not promote cramping or an urgent need to rush to the bathroom, you will need to see how your body responds to the tea to determine if taking it during the day will work with your personal lifestyle and schedule.

KleriTea® is designed for short-term use. It contains senna, which should not be used long-term. After the first five days of your cleanse, we recommend using KleriTea® every other day or less (only as needed for regular bowel movements). KleriTea® should not be used by pregnant or nursing women or by children under 18 years of age.

It is common to have some bags of KleriTea® left over, as you may not need to use them throughout the length of your cleaning experience. Properly stored (away from heat and light in the tightly sealed bag they come in), tea bags can last between 18 and 24 months.
